The Angora rabbits at Rytne

Beneath a majestic mountain, above a beautiful fjord, in a small village in Western Norway—that is where we live!

We are the Angora rabbits of Rytne, and we are proud producers of the world's finest and most delightful wool fiber. Our wool is sheared with scissors every three months and, in harmony with nature and following traditional methods, is spun right here at home the old-fashioned way into hanks and balls of delicious, locally sourced yarn.

Much of our yarn retains its own naturally beautiful color, but when there is a need for a little extra color in life, our yarn is plant-dyed in the finest and most harmonious shades that only nature can provide.

Yarn and wool products made by us only get better with the years and are known for their distinctive warmth and softness. We also help to soothe stiff, aching muscles and joints. With proper care and use, you will be able to enjoy a product from us for many years!
